forget what you've known

forget what you are,

take this light I’m handing you,

and light this town on fire

go on and do the sweet thing

go on and do what's wrong

carve up the windows

and sing yourself a song

see the ambulance driver

leaving here at last go

save yourself from somebody in your past

we can make the smoke

but fires never last

useless intuition

a phrase I’ve never heard

you said it with a smile

and i didn't mind the words

don't listen to them

no more a-roaming

through these tears
